Greetings Bill Reed Middle School Community!

Welcome to the 23-24 school year!  I am absolutely thrilled to be writing this newsletter to you on my 1st of many years as the principal of Bill Reed.  For our new families, you will soon see first hand what our returning families already know.  This is the most amazing teaching team you will find.  Each and every staff member in this school is fully committed to your student’s safety and education. We are here to encourage and celebrate your child’s growth and accomplishments as well as support them through their challenges. 

The mission statement at Bill Reed states, “We are a diverse and fiercely committed community of scholars, creators and competitors.” That word fierce says it all. This school will not seek the best for your child mildly.  We will be untamed, powerful and intensely competitive in our work to grow these scholars and athletes. This school will not take a back seat to anybody.  At Bill Reed we’ll overcome any obstacle, we’ll set our goals high, we’ll put the work in each and every day to be the premier arts integration middle school in this state. This school deserves district and state recognition for growth made, and just how amazing each and every adult and student is in this place. I aim to see that you (we) get it.  Having said that, that work is not isolated to just the adults and children within these doors.  The partnership with you is the key to all of it. 

I ask you to join us daily in the work of teaching the wolves in this pack.  Know your child’s daily attendance and grades through our parent portal (accessible online, or through the app on your phone).  Be a registered volunteer with us and support our arts and athletics. Be in communication with your teacher team and our administration.  Be consistent with us in supporting the policies and procedures designed to ensure your student’s safety, and maximize the distraction free learning environment your student needs to succeed.

I want to thank you in advance for the trust you give us in educating your child. We acknowledge you are sending us your very best, we will give our best in return. Let’s have an amazing year, Wolfpack!
